In Memory of Jeanne M. Bruzzese

Jeanne M. Bruzzese, 50, of Cambridge, formerly of Belmont, passed away on March 19th, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.

Jeanne is survived by her parents, Joan and Don Bruzzese of Cambridge, her brother Don Bruzzese of Waltham, her sister Robyn Pereira and brother-in-law Roger Pereira of Westport, her devoted boyfriend, Trey Newlin of Cambridge, her dear friends Kathy Ferguson, Kenny Tartagalia and his son Rich, Susan and Shawn Wyatt, numerous other cherished friends, and her dogs “Weasie” & “Sandee”.

A graduate of Belmont High School with the Class of 1981, Jeanne was a cheerleader and outstanding star athlete playing several different sports during her school career, including the first girl’s hockey team. She was named to the 1980 and 1981 Boston Globe All Scholastic Gymnastic Teams and was inducted into the Belmont High School Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 for outstanding achievement in gymnastics.

She furthered her education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and had a career in Human Resources with Shaw’s/Star Market, TAC Worldwide and, most recently, with APT Management Group.

Jeanne loved life. Time spent with her family and friends was precious to her. She was outgoing, fun loving, caring, and enjoyed making people laugh. Her memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of those she touched in such a short period of time.

Jeanne enjoyed working out and staying in shape. She was always at the gym whether it be Gold’s Gym or Super Fitness. She was an avid dog lover and rescued three dogs through the years. Moreover, Jeanne enjoyed socializing and dining out with her many friends.

A passionate and diehard local sports fan, Jeanne was a proud New England Patriot’s season ticket holder and former Boston Bruins season ticket holder. She tailgated before Patriot’s games with family and friends for years. While in school, Jeanne had the opportunity to work for the New England Patriot’s Cheerleading squad as a tumbler.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to join the Bruzzese Family at the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel 325 Trapelo Rd. BELMONT, Tuesday morning March 25th at 10:00 a.m. for visitation and a Funeral Service in celebration of Jeanne’s Life at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday March 24th from 4 – 7 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking.

Dear and devoted brother of Helen Mahoney of Beverly, Margaret Mahoney of Wenham, Joseph Mahoney of E. Dennis, Andrew Mahoney of Lexington, Mary Donovan of Beverly, Thomas Mahoney of Milford, NH, Edward Mahoney of E. Dennis and the late Jeanne Byrne and John Mahoney. Jim is also survived by 12 loving nieces and nephews. Michael Harold Turlo
The Villages, Florida

Michael H. Turlo, age 48, died suddenly Tuesday, October 18, 2011. He moved to The Villages July, 2011. Mr. Turlo was born in Massachusetts and graduated from Belmont High School. He moved to New York City and worked at MSNBC as a computer programmer and graphic designer. He taught guitar and had a band playing around the New York area for many years. He was a member of the Way Way Way Off Broadway Players mini group. Survivors include his mother, Doris Turlo, The Villages and brother James Turlo, San Diego, California. A memorial service will be held in NYC at a later date

We are saddened to learn of the passing of classmate Anne Ballotti Ramsey August 27, 2011. Condolences to her family and friends.

RAMSEY, Anne E. (Ballotti) Of Belmont died peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer on Aug. 27, 2011. She was born April 3, 1963 in Waltham, MA, the daughter of Geraldine Ballotti and the late Geno A. Ballotti. Mrs. Ramsey was a 1981 graduate of Belmont High School and a 1985 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. On Sept. 27, 1986 she married Robert J. Ramsey. Anne was fun and full of life. She cherished spending time with her children as she watched them play a variety of sports. Anne volunteered her time to support the Belmont public schools as well as the Belmont Hill School. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and sister and will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Along with her husband Robert, also surviving are her children James, Christine and Danny. Her mother Gerry (McCarty) Ballotti of Belmont, her brother Geoffrey Ballotti of Long Valley, NJ, her sisters Kathryn Delhome of Belmont, Susan Bettis of Virginia Beach, VA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
